Instructions for Placing an Order

1. Send in your completed Order Form or Purchase Order (Approved Institutions). Click the icons to the left to download an Order Form.
   
2. Send the digital files for your artwork via Email, FTP (internet file transfer) or on disk.
   
3. Also mail any samples. Indicate which you prefer.
4. Please indicate daytime phone, fax and contact person. A customer service representative will contact you after receipt of your Purchase Order and our completed Order Form.

Requirements for Artwork Submission

1. Acceptable file formats are InDesign, QuarkXPress, Illustrator (.ai or .eps), PhotoShop, and PDF. (Word files accepted, please call 800-400-2990 for additional instructions.)
   
2. All images and graphics placed or linked in the artwork must be sent. Color or grayscale images must be at least 300 dpi at final size. Line art or black and white images must be at least 1200 dpi at final size.
   
3. The document size must be the flat (unfolded) size of the folder to be ordered. All panels (front cover, back cover, etc.), pockets, flaps, etc. must be the correct size for the folder to be ordered and must include any bleeds.
   
4. A composite color proof must be sent with the folder order for all color jobs. Color separated proofs (such as output from a laser printer) may be sent in lieu of a composite color proof as long as a composite grayscale proof is also sent.
   

Proofs

1. A PDF proof will be emailed to you for your approval.
2. If you do not meet all of the requirements, a Beard representative will contact you to review what charges will apply for a mandatory proof. Additional pre-press charges may also apply depending on the complexity of the work needed to correct the files.
